appointed criminal clients

Nothing on this page or website is meant to serve as legal advice.

If you have questions regarding your pending criminal case and Mr. Milliman has been appointed to represent you, please contact Chasitee with the Public Defender's office at (706) 298-2701.

If you are unsure when your next Court date is, please contact Chasitee at the Public Defender's office directly at (706) 298-2701. She can give you the most up-to-date information regarding your case.

Criminal clients often have the choice of pleading guilty and accepting a plea offer from the State or proceeding to trial to defend their innocence. Each client's case is different and the options available to them vary, so it is best to speak with your attorney before making any decisions.

Arraignment is typically the first hearing where a defendant is formally informed of the charges against them and enters a plea, typically not guilty. Guilty pleas may be taken at arraignment.

Conversations with clients are privileged. We may speak with family members or other third parties only with the client’s permission, and their presence may affect confidentiality and privilege.
